Your Old Christmas Lights Can Help Kids With Cancer

Ace Hardware’s Recycling Program for “Lights for Life” is going on from November 15 through February 15th. You can drop off holiday lights and extension cords at participating Colorado Springs Ace Hardware stores. Many stores will also accept fluorescent light bulbs, mercury-containing thermostats, used cell phones, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.

The money raised from this recycling effort will go to help the families of children diagnosed with cancer. Last year they raised $14,000 from broken lights and extension cords that would otherwise have ended up in the trash.

We at the law office of Heuser & Heuser, LLP commend this fundraising effort and hope that you will think twice before you toss out your old lights and extension cords.
