Multi-Vehicle Accident in Colorado Springs

Single Vehicle Accidents Can Still Bring Devastation

Colorado Springs auto accidents can happen under a variety of circumstances. Sometimes they only involve a single vehicle. This can be caused by a person becoming distracted or maybe falling asleep and running off the road. Now just because one vehicle was involved, doesn’t mean there aren’t horrible consequences because people still lose their lives far too often in single-vehicle accidents.

Often auto accidents will instead involve two vehicles. These accidents are usually caused by an act of negligence; a driver fails to pay attention or drives impaired and runs into another motorists. Obviously the more vehicles that are involved the greater the chance of injuries. So now take the devastation of a two-vehicle accident and add another ten cars or more.

That’s exactly what happened in Colorado Springs last Friday morning. In fact, there were so many cars involved that the exact number of vehicles was unknown. News outlets were reporting anywhere from ten to thirteen vehicles in the wreckage.

It occurred at the Cimarron on-ramp around 7:30 in the morning. What caused the multi-car accident hasn’t been determined, but there’s speculation that a tarp might have flown off a truck and started the whole mess. At the crash site at least one vehicle had rolled onto its roof and trapped people inside. There were also four people that had to be rushed to local hospitals with a range of injuries.

While every auto accident in Colorado Springs is different, the outcome will usually impact accident victims for years to come. Whether the accident involved one person or one hundred, the long-term effects an accident has on all involved can’t be understated.
