Snow plow involved in El Paso car wreck

Snow Plows Bring an Added Danger to El Paso County

We’re sure that you’re getting tired of all the snow and ice.  Not only is it inconvenient, it’s also incredibly dangerous.  The rate of accidents always rises with the worsening conditions of the roads.  We know that you’re probably having trouble getting around, but as truck accident lawyers in Colorado Springs, we also know that there are bigger vehicles on the road having trouble as well.  The state is doing what it can to try and make our roads safer, but in doing so they are adding a new danger to the streets – snow plows.

While they are busy clearing dangerous snow and ice, snow plows can actually be a hazard themselves.  A Colorado Springs woman found that out last week when she had a run-in with one.  According to reports, the woman was traveling behind a slow moving plow when she decided to go around it.  Little did she realize, however, that another snow plow was headed toward her in the opposite direction.   She smashed into the approaching snow plow and had to be taken to a nearby hospital.

We have to remember that we’re sharing our roads this time of year and need to be extra careful.  Large trucks like snow plows do a great job of clearing our streets, but they can also cause a lot of damage.  While there’s snow on the ground, they’ll be rumbling through our streets, so please be careful.
