Colorado Springs Auto Accident Lawyers Want You to Be Aware of Rollover Accidents

Rollovers are some of the lesser understood accidents that take place in Colorado.  Since they often only include one vehicle, many don’t think anyone except the driver could be at fault, but as auto accident lawyers in Colorado Springs we know that simply isn’t the case.

Two rollover crashes occurred in the same night in two nearby cities last weekend.  One occurred in Fountain, where an SUV rolled while traveling southbound along Interstate 25.  The driver was seriously injured and had to be flown to Memorial Hospital.  There were four others in the SUV, including children, that were also taken to the hospital.

The other rollover took place in Colorado Springs when a vehicle rolled at the intersection of Academy Boulevard and Goddard Street.  One of the passengers was actually thrown from the automobile, but fortunately only suffered non-life threatening injuries, most likely because he was wearing a seatbelt.

Colorado State Patrol is currently investigating the accident which they believe may have involved another vehicle.  Police were looking for witnesses that may have seen the other vehicle that was involved in an altercation that may have forced the pickup truck into the center median where it flipped.

The truth is that some vehicles are more prone to rollover crashes.  This is often a result of design flaws on the part of the manufacturer which include a higher center of gravity combined with a narrow wheel base.
