Shannon Colt isn’t your typical attorney. Originally from Idaho, she moved to Colorado Springs as a military spouse and began her legal career at Heuser & Heuser as an entry-level legal assistant.
She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from The College of Idaho, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and served as Student Director of the Women’s and Men’s Center. During this time, Shannon also volunteered at the Idaho Humane Society, assisting with day-to-day operations and community support.
Shannon quickly advanced to paralegal, then earned her law degree at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law while working full-time at the firm and raising her two boys. Her path to becoming a partner at Heuser & Heuser was built on determination, hustle, and resilience. A true example of merit-based achievement.
With a professional journey that includes flipping burgers at McDonald’s, working retail, and juggling school while raising children, Shannon understands what it means to earn a living.
