Since 2003, The Home Front Cares has raised more than $8.5 million to pay essential life expenses like rent and utilities for Colorado veterans and military families. The organization acts fast, often within 24 hours, because their grants are often the “last stand” that saves a veteran from eviction or keeps the heat on for a military family. Some 75 percent of their clients are disabled, and 70 percent have children to support. THFC relies almost entirely on donations, and money raised in Colorado stays in Colorado.
